Senior Activity Center Program Update 10-1-2021

Watercolor Painting Class- October 11 at 12:30 p.m.
Fee: $18

All skill levels are welcome to participate! You will receive step by step instruction in painting a pumpkin patch. Class is instructed by MaryLeah Marshall from Rum River Art Center. Register by: October 7.

Dementia Conversations- October 12 at 10:00 a.m.

In this online class, staff from the Alzheimer's Association will provide you with tips for breaking the ice so you can address some of the most common difficult conversations: going to the doctor for a diagnosis, deciding when to stop driving, and making legal and financial plans for care. Register online here.

Build a Strong Immune System- October 18 at 10:00 a.m.
Fee: $5

Come to this presentation to learn how certain foods and natural solutions can get your immune system in tip top condition. Register by: October 15.

Chair Yoga- Tuesdays at 8:30 a.m.
Fee: $5

Chair yoga is back! In this 45 minute yoga class you will use a chair for support. The practice will start with a seated warm up, including breath practice and movement. The active portion of class is standing and incorporates movement, yoga poses, and balance. You will return to a seated position to stretch the entire body. Practice ends with a final relaxation. No mat is required. This class is instructed by Sue Montague.
