Each month Mike Brubaker, Executive Director of the Sherburne History Center discusses a different historical topic. Deadline to register is June 16.

Topic: Transportation in Sherburne County
River, Railroads, and Roads

Art History: June 18 at 11:00 a.m.
Learn about the life and art of American Artist Georgia O'Keeffe. Georgia created her own style of painting her beautiful flowers as well as her New Mexico paintings. Angie Renee from Rum River Art Center will be the presenter. Deadline to register is June 16.
Fee: $5

Gluten-Free Baking Basics: June 21 at 10:00 a.m.
Do you have a loved one or friend who is gluten-free either due to health issues or by lifestyle choice? Come to this class to learn the basics of gluten-free living. Heather Carpentier, Health and Wellness Consultant will be the presenter. Deadline to register is June 17. Fee: $5

Please join us for the following trips:

STILLWATER TROLLEY TOUR- July 20 at 8:45 a.m.

Enjoy a narrated trolley tour of Stillwater. After the tour you will have lunch at the Historic Lowell Inn. You will be served Chicken ala King, mashed potatoes, vegetables, beverage and dessert. After lunch you will be dropped off in downtown Stillwater to shop on your own. The last stop on the tour will be the St Croix Winery where you can sample a few of their featured wines. Deadline to register is June 28. Fee: $82

TAYLORS FALLS BOAT CRUISE- August 24 at 9:00 a.m.

See the scenic beauty of the world famous dalles of the upper St. Croix River aboard an authentic paddlewheel boat. The view inspires awe for the beauty and provision of this river that sculpted through ancient volcanic rock. A sack luncheon is provided by Juneberry Café. They use local ingredients to craft a seasonal menu: Turkey sandwich, Colby jack cheese, organic romaine lettuce, mayo and mustard packets, kettle chips, organic carrots, chocolate chip cookies, and coffee. After the boat cruise you will board the bus and stop at Eichtens Cheese Shop and Deli on the way home. Deadline to register is July 26. Fee: $74

Please note: There are 20 steps down the staircase from the bus to board the boat.
