Detectives from the Elk River Police Department have identified a juvenile suspect who admitted to calling in a bomb threat.
Charges are being pursued.

Elk River Police received a call from Caribou (18157 Carson Ct NW) just before 3:00 p.m. today, stating they had been alerted to a potential bomb threat inside the establishment. ERPD and Elk River Fire Department responded and evacuated the area until Minneapolis Police Department's bomb squad and Metro Transit Police's bomb detection K-9 arrived and conducted a sweep of the building.
ERPD SWAT used a robot to check the interior and found nothing, then entering and visually checking the scene. No threat is present and ERPD Detectives have started an investigation into the incident.
