Filing for the open seats of Councilmember Ward 1, Councilmember Ward 4, and the Elk River Mayor runs from Tuesday, May 17 through Tuesday, May 31. Any eligible person may become a candidate by submitting an Affidavit of Candidacy form with the City Clerk during regular business hours and paying a $5 fee.
