Please join the City of Elk River in congratulating Joanna Arbic, for her recent recognition as Volunteer of the Month. Mayor John Dietz, who established this award program, selected Joanna for her commitment to bettering the community, who was recognized by Acting Mayor Mike Beyer at a recent council meeting.
Joanna provides hands-on experience for Elk River High School fashion marketing students, in addition to judging DECA competitions (district and state level), as well as participating in the ERHS Homecoming parade each year. She assists in planning the annual Elk River Area Chamber Golf Tournament, and is a member of Sherburne County Area United Way’s Women’s United group, and Power of Kindness group. As if Joanna hasn’t taken on enough voluntary service, she has helped organize dozens of donation drives for Great River Family Promise, Open Doors for Youth, and Elk River Senior Living.
Thank you, Joanna Arbic! It’s people like you that make Elk River a better place to live, work and play!
Each month, Mayor Dietz recognizes individuals for their outstanding volunteer efforts which ultimately contribute to the overall quality of life in Elk River. To learn more about award eligibility, or to nominate a resident, click here.
