Please join the City of Elk River in congratulating Wayne Becklin, for his recent recognition as Volunteer of the Month. Mayor John Dietz, who established this award program, selected Wayne for his commitment to bettering the community.
Wayne has managed the Elk River deer hunt program since its inception in 2015 and has also been a dedicated park volunteer at Woodland Trails Regional Park since it was introduced to the city’s park system. Wayne assisted with putting up signage, maintaining trails, litter clean up, and illegal deer stand removal at several other city parks as well. In addition, he serves as Shotgun Chair for Elk River Sportsman’s Club and has given much of his time as a volunteer coach for the Elk River Youth Hockey Association and Three Rivers Soccer Association over the years.
Thank you, Wayne Becklin! It’s people like you that make Elk River a better place to live, work and play!
