Please join the City of Elk River in congratulating David Rogers, for his recent recognition as Volunteer of the Month. Mayor John Dietz, who established this award program, selected David for his commitment to bettering the community.
David has been a member of the Elk River Lions Club for 12 years and has been recognized with the President’s Appreciation Award twice for event promotion and equipment maintenance. He has spent countless hours as a park volunteer for Woodland Trails Regional Park since the 1990’s, grooming cross country ski trails, hiking trails, and clearing and maintaining other areas of the park during the summer months. When David is not serving as a church council member, he also finds time to help raise money in the MS-150 bike event, as well as participate in the annual Leukemia bicycle fundraising event.
Thank you, David Rogers! It’s people like you that make Elk River a better place to live, work and play!
