Active Elk River construction activity at the Youth Athletic Complex (YAC) made some significant progress, recently. Contractors relocated underground powerlines around the new restroom building, installed water and sanitary lines to the restroom and concession buildings, and installed the two large tanks (12,000 and 10,000 gallons) for the new septic system.
The exterior walls of the restroom building are complete with roof truss installation underway. While these may seem like relatively routine tasks, they were complicated by the number of underground utilities in the park which include the buried electric for the 36 light poles and 6 scoreboards, as well as irrigation and storm water infrastructure.
