Another big week of progress at Orono Park! Check out the skateboard park really taking shape. Fun fact, the bowl is an advanced level feature which will have three skill levels; beginner, intermediate and advanced!
Work on the modern restroom and park pavilion also got underway. The restroom facility will have four separate units with benches that can be used as changing areas for those utilizing the splash pad and beach. There will also be showers outside next to the beach area.
The boat launch will open at 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 13, through 6:00 a.m. on Monday, August 16.
Please note, the beach remains closed and anyone wanting to access the playground and/or dog park can do so from the south side of the park. Parking is available for boat trailers and playground/dog park access along Gary Street.
