At the Monday, April 5 council meeting, longtime Elk River Fire Department member Cliff Anderson was recognized for decades of service to the Elk River community.
Assistant Chief Cliff Anderson joined the department in 1983, serving alongside his father and two brothers. In fact, for the last 64 years there has been an Anderson on ERFD. Assistant Chief Anderson's retirement after 37 years closes a chapter consisting of 125 years of combined service. Cliff has held every position within the department, including Interim Fire Chief.
