Are you looking for a way to give back to your community? Here’s your chance - join an Elk River advisory commission! Currently, the city needs two volunteers for the Heritage Preservation Commission, which reviews and makes recommendations to the City Council on issues pertaining to historical, archaeological, engineering, and cultural heritage of Elk River.
This Commission has recently expanded from five to seven members and commissioners are appointed by the City Council for three-year terms. The Heritage Preservation Commission meets every other month (beginning in January) on the third Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at Elk River City Hall. To learn more or to apply, click here.
