Join us on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. at Rivers Edge Commons Park in downtown Elk River for four weeks of free summer concerts, exclusively offered to Elk River residents only. Community Concerts at the Commons will run from July 30 through August 20, featuring local performers from a variety of popular genres.
These community concerts will follow new guidelines which include mandatory ticket reservations, assigned seating and social distancing recommendations for all attendees. Elk River residents may reserve their free tickets online here beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday prior to each concert and will be available in pairs or family packs of up to six seats. Early chair set up is not allowed.
On July 6, Elk River City Council decided to cancel the popular Riverfront Concert Series and create a safer alternative in light of the COVID-19 safety issues and the space limitations of Rivers Edge Commons Park which holds less than the 250 maximum when following the social distancing rules set forth under Emergency Executive Order 20-74.
Participants will be responsible for following the Minnesota Department of Health and CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 prevention measures, such as hand washing and social distancing. The CDC recommends that people wear cloth face coverings in public places especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. The city reserves the right to make changes to the seating structure if guidelines are not observed or as may be required by any changes or updates to Governor Walz’s Executive Orders.
