The city is working in cooperation with Elk River Municipal Utilities (ERMU) on the relocation of a sanitary force main line that currently runs through the site of ERMU’s future new substation, located on Main Street just north of the Elk River Dam. The utility work is expected to be complete in roughly three weeks (weather depending) and while the Main Street corridor will remain open during construction, please expect some traffic pattern changes and lane shifting to accommodate crews.
