If you’ve recently traveled the Highway 169 corridor through Elk River, you may have noticed Braun Intertec, a geotechnical, environmental consulting and testing firm, working in the area. Braun is conducting soil boring investigations (hence the big drills shown in the photos) at intersections set for reconstruction which will be used to help engineers design the most reliable and cost-effective bridge footings.
