Early voting is still open for Elk River residents for the upcoming Presidential Nomination Primary Election. City Hall (13065 Orono Parkway) will be open additional hours on Saturday, February 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on Monday, March 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please note, you MUST be an Elk River resident to participate in early voting at City Hall. Residents outside of Elk River but within Sherburne County are invited to vote early at the Sherburne County Government Center (13880 Business Center Drive) on Saturday, February 29 (10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and Monday, March 2 (4:30 to 5:00 p.m.).
The Presidential Nomination Primary Election is set for Tuesday, March 3 with polls open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The purpose of this election is to narrow the candidate pool for the two major political parties (Democratic and Republican).
