Mother Nature didn't stop hundreds of Sherburne County residents from participating in the annual Fall Clean Up event on Saturday, October 12, to recycle or dispose of unwanted household items for free or at a discounted rate. City staff members in charge of the event estimate the following totals were dropped off during the four hour clean up:
- 134 appliances
- 152 TVs (various sizes)
- 166 electronic items
- 106 furniture items
- 155 mattresses and box springs
- 14 car seats
- 295 tires
- TBD amounts of scrap metal and other general trash items
Thank you to all who participated, and if you missed this event – don’t worry we’ll have one in the spring as well!
