The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), Sherburne County, and the City of Elk River will host a public open house on Wednesday, September 18 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at Elk River City Hall to discuss the CSAH 1 (Proctor Avenue) reconstruction project. The project scope spans Proctor Avenue from the railroad crossing south of School Street to Hwy 10 and is planned for construction in 2020. To improve accessibility and safety, the project proposal outlines the reconstruction of Proctor Avenue which includes adding a raised median and designated turn lanes. Information will also be available about MnDOT’s Hwy 10 reconstruction from Xenia Avenue to Lowell Avenue, which is slated to begin in 2021. This public open house is the perfect time to learn about both projects from county, city and MnDOT staff, ask questions, and address any concerns.
