Are you a FAN of what the City of Elk River is doing to reduce its carbon footprint? You’re invited to stop by and visit with city staff on Monday, August 26 at the Minnesota State Fair Eco Experience building, located on the corner of Randall Avenue and Cooper Street. As part of the “Clean Energy Communities” display which features a different city each day of the fair, Elk River staff will be talking with fair-goers about the addition of Electric Vehicles to the city fleet, the installation of a 5 kW solar display at city hall, and more! Also, to show gratitude for your FANfare, we’ll be giving out free City of Elk River phone fans!
The Eco Experience, presented by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and the Minnesota State Fair, is full of easy, everyday tips for people to lead a more sustainable life. Hands-on activities, demonstrations, and special guests will showcase how to use green technology, transportation alternatives, clean air and water initiatives and more, in a way that will benefit our environment for generations to come. The Eco Experience building is open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day of the fair.
