Mayor John Dietz presented the July Volunteer of the Month award to Linda Krieger at Monday's City Council meeting.
Linda Krieger has given selflessly to her church and community for most of her adult life. As a member of Guardian Angels Board of Directors since 2003, and Board Chair for 11 years, she has provided leadership and guidance to the senior population in the Elk River community. By serving on a variety of Guardian Angels' committees, such as the Ethics, Executive, Finance, Audit, Fund Development, Nominating, and Strategic Planning, Krieger has made a lasting difference in senior services through the years. As Co-Chair of Guardian Angels Gala Committee for 12 years, she helped raise more than $1,000,000 for the organization. Krieger also serves as spokesperson for Guardian Angels at Leading Age Minnesota Organization.
In 2018, Linda Krieger, along with her husband Dan, received the Life Enhancement Award from Guardian Angels, the organization’s most prestigious award in recognition of their outstanding leadership skills, shared talents, dedication, and their tremendous generosity of time and support.
Linda volunteers her time at Trinity Episcopal Church as Co-Chair of the women’s group, and is actively involved in Vacation Bible School and singing in the choir. During worship services, Krieger serves as reader and chalice bearer.
Please join the City of Elk River in thanking Linda Krieger for her generous contributions and selfless volunteerism.
