Please join the City of Elk River in congratulating Bill LaVigne, Chief Operating Officer at The Bank of Elk River, for his recent recognition as Volunteer of the Month. Mayor John Dietz, who established this award program, selected Bill for his many contributions and commitment to the Elk River community through voluntary personal service.
Among his many contributions, Mr. LaVigne is currently serving as Chair of the Services Board of Directors for the Independent Community Bankers of Minnesota. Bill is also a board member of the Sherburne County Economic Development Authority and has completed terms on the board of directors for the Sherburne County Area United Way, Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, Elk River Chamber of Commerce and Zimmerman Area Chamber of Commerce.
LaVigne is actively involved in both fundraising and leadership initiates for the Sherburne County Area United Way, through his service on the Financial Advisory Committee, and through giving his time and talents as emcee of the annual True Colors Fashion Show fundraiser. Bill also finds time to serve as a member of the Capital Campaign Committee for his church, among many other selfless acts of service to this community.
Thank you, Bill LaVigne, and congratulations!
