The aesthetic appeal of a community has a direct impact on the overall quality of life for a resident – which is why the City of Elk River strives to recognize those who go above and beyond to make their property shine. Every month from May to October, a different business will be presented with the City Beautification Award, a public acknowledgment of appreciation to business owners who’ve made an effort to clean, repair, improve, and/or enhance the overall aesthetics of their property. This could be anything from repairs to a structure, enhancements to an outdoor space, or the addition of landscaping elements to a property.
Businesses can be nominated by others, or they can nominate themselves. Simply submit a completed nomination form and at least two high-quality photos (ideally a “before” and “after”). For more information, visit the Economic Development Department’s website.
