Mark your calendars for the 2019 Spring Clean Up Day on Saturday, April 27 from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Elk River Maintenance Facility, located at 19000 Proctor Road NW. This event is open to all Sherburne County residents (with proof of residency), and gives people the opportunity to properly recycle and dispose of unwanted household items for free or for a discounted cost.
Free items accepted during the cleanup include: gently used clothing and household textiles, auto and household batteries, fluorescent bulbs and tubes, holiday strings of lights (no lighted décor or trees), and scrap metal including bikes, grills, engines, lawn mowers, etc. Larger items like appliances, furniture, televisions, mattresses, and tires will be accepted for a fee ranging anywhere from $3.00 to $30.00 depending on the item(s). Participating residents are asked to print and complete an item drop-off form prior to the Spring Clean Up Day, These forms will also be available on site the day of the event.
