Unsure of how/where to dispose of chemicals, paints, and other items you wouldn’t normally put in the trash? Safely get rid of those items at one of Sherburne County’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection events set for Monday, September 24 (3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.), Tuesday, September 25 (3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.), and Wednesday, September 26 (7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.) at the Sherburne County Fairgrounds, located at 13372 Business Center Drive in Elk River. This is free for all Sherburne County residents – just be sure to bring an I.D.
Accepted items include: adhesives, aerosols, automotive chemicals (NOT including motor oil), car batteries, cleaning products, fuel, fluorescent bulbs, pool chemicals, paints, poisons, and more. For a complete list of accepted items, and prohibited products, please click here.
