Crews closed the eastbound side of Hwy 10 between Big Lake and Clear Lake just before 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 26. Highway 10 is now a single lane, with head-to-head traffic on the westbound side of the road. The road will remain that way for about eight weeks while crews reconstruct the eastbound lanes.
Please be certain to drive with extra diligence when navigating the work zone, especially near the many intersections along the corridor. Consider an alternate route if that is an option, or stagger your travel times to avoid peak travel times.
All businesses along Highway 10 will remain accessible during construction, which crews expect to be complete in October. Please use extra caution when traveling through the area. These closures and traffic pattern changes are part of a major safety and mobility improvement project through the corridor. For more information on the project, please visit MnDOT’s website.
