If you’re a woman who has ever expressed an interested in the fire service industry, you won’t want to miss the Women’s Fire Service Expo on Saturday, June 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Elk River Public Works. Women will experience a rare glimpse into the industry through classroom sessions, demonstrations, and hands-on training. Participants will suit up in full fire gear and experience vehicle fires, extrication, forcible entry, a physical agility course, ladder exercises, and medical scenarios.
