The lane closures will occur during daytime hours and will be complete Thursday, May 24. No lane closures will occur on westbound Highway 10.
The closures are needed while crews clear trees at several locations along the corridor. The work is the first part of a major project that will reconstruct eastbound Highway 10 between Clear Lake and Big Lake in 2018. Daily lane closures for that project will begin on both directions of Highway 10 June 4.
The Highway 10 Big Lake to Clear Lake project will reconstruct and resurface eastbound Highway 10 between Lakeshore Drive in Big Lake and Highway 24 in Clear Lake, install a new Reduced Conflict Intersection at the Highway 10/County Road 23 intersection in Becker, extend turn lanes, repair underground pipes and other drainage infrastructure, and improve pedestrian safety and accessibility.
When complete, the project will provide a smoother ride with a long-life pavement along 14 miles of eastbound Highway 10, enhance traffic flow and safety at the Highway 10/County Road 23 intersection, improve drainage along the corridor, and enhance pedestrian accessibility.
