The Elk River City Council and Park & Recreation Commission has expressed unanimous consensus to maintain Hillside Park as a mountain bike park. The council also indicated a continuing strong volunteer presence is needed to maintain the trail network to balance safety and ride-ability for our community. The Parks & Recreation Department will work with local volunteers and Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists (MORC) to develop a trail system that is enjoyable for riders of all skill levels and hikers and requires minimum trail maintenance by design.
