Precinct caucuses for House District 30A will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Elk River High School, 900 School Street, Elk River, MN 55330.
Precinct caucuses are meetings organized by Minnesota’s political parties to begin the process of selecting candidates for the election to be held later that year and to discuss policy positions caucus attendees would like to be included in the party’s platform.
Minnesota Statutes Section §202A.19 limits activities held on the evening of caucuses. State universities, community colleges, and public schools may not hold classes or events after 6:00 p.m. on the evening of precinct caucuses. State agencies, school boards, county boards, township boards, city councils, and all other political subdivisions may not conduct meetings after 6:00 p.m. on caucus night.
