Have you seen the Whimsical Windmill yet? It is in place at the entrance of the Elk River Library. It is a beautiful piece that was inspired by Elk River and its Powered by Nature brand.
The windmill sculpture was created by Carl Zachmann who was chosen by a judging panel from three finalist in a contest sponsored by the city to promote the community brand.
"It is my hope that the piece will serve as a reminder of those who view it to always keep the connection between history, nature, and progress at the forefront of their minds," Zachmann wrote in his original proposal.
