In the next two weeks, motorists can expect changes as workers open and close work areas. Hwy 169 will remain one lane in each direction; however, lanes will need to shift around to pave the final layers of asphalt. You can also expect to see crews working on:
- Paving lanes, access ramps, and side street connections
- Completing concrete work such as sidewalks, trails, etc.
- Installing road markings and permanent road signs
- Installing and activating signal systems at Jackson/193rd Ave. and School St./Elk Hills Dr.
Temporary accesses used to assist with local traffic will also be removed by early November. This includes the signal at Gates Ave./Main St. and the compact roundabout on Evans St.
In November, off-road work may occur until temperatures are too cold and snow arrives. Motorists may encounter a periodic lane or shoulder closure until work operations suspend for the winter.
