Slight Traffic Shift This Week
Hwy 169 lanes will shift through the work zone around July 13, however, motorists will notice little as the highway remains one lane in each direction between Main St. and 197th Ave. All current local access will remain open.
The lane shift will allow crews the opportunity to begin work on the southbound road, south of the pedestrian bridge, near School St. and continue work on the northbound road and bridge at Jackson/193rd Ave. In mid-August, all traffic will shift onto the northbound side to complete southbound freeway construction.
- Bridge beams are in place at Jackson/193rd Ave. and the deck pour will occur this week.
- Bridge beams will be set into place July 11-12 at School St./Elk Hills Dr. The deck pour will be completed in early August.
- In addition to the bridges, crews are placing permanent concrete median barriers, curbs and gutters, retaining and supporting walls, and underground storm sewer and road grading.
