The City of Elk River recognizes individuals for their outstanding volunteer events. The City Council, at one of their monthly meetings, formally recognizes a volunteer for their efforts to make the city a better place to live.
Please join the City of Elk River in congratulating Michele Smith as our November Volunteer of the Month. Michele is known for her work at the American Legion Post 112 Auxiliary as the first Vice-President, a greeter for the fish fry, helps with the Memorial Day event, hosted training for the Auxiliary Riders breakfast, works on the Veterans Day meal, and volunteers at the Auxiliary craft sale and chili/soup fundraiser. Michele also volunteers as a greeter at her church and can be seen helping elderly neighbors with snow removal during the winter months. Congratulations and thank you for all your hard work in the community!
