Welcome to the Furniture and Things Community Event Center where people of all ages are brought together in the greater Elk River community. The amenities listed below provide an environment that is both diverse and inclusive to activities contributing to the well-being of all within the community.
Whether you're participating in one of our programs, attending an event, or renting one of our rooms, we hope your time at the Furniture and Things Community Event Center is well spent.
Located in the Upper Lobby of our facility is our concession stand and fully-equipped catering kitchen. Concessions are primarily open during scheduled hockey games and tournaments. The catering kitchen includes a window that opens up to Meeting Room 2 allowing for smaller banquets to access the kitchen and be served easily.
The FT Center has two party rooms, a flex space, and two meeting rooms available for rent for any type of event, party, or meeting. In addition to those rooms, the Upper Lobby is also available for rent (depending on availability). Click here to learn more.
Our Field House is 30,000 square feet perfect for year-round turf sports and training with rentals available for half or full field. The Field House also has three full-sized batting/pitching cages for baseball and softball training.

The Furniture and Things Community Event Center is home to two NHL-sized rinks each equipped with five team locker rooms and referee locker rooms. Click here to learn about renting the ice. Click here to view ice-related programs.
We are proud to partner with two local businesses, Cornerstone Automotive and Kiser Construction, who have committed to supporting our community.
Cornerstone Automotive Arena
Serves as Elk River High School Boys’ and Girls’ home game rink and an ice and dry-floor exhibit space. It is also home to the Minnesota Squatch hockey team. The Cornerstone Arena features obstruction-free seating for 1,600 spectators on two sides of the arena with seatbacks, standing room space for 200 with drink rails and premium ADA accessibility. The family-owned dealership has a rich and unique history in Elk River where they began over 50 years ago. Cornerstone Automotive is committed to customer service and creating long-lasting relationships with their customers and families for generations. The Cornerstone Automotive team selected the graphics that adorn the arena highlighting Elk River hockey and figure skating and the inspirational messages throughout the arena.
Kiser Construction Arena
This space provides a cozy fan experience for 600 obstruction-free spectators for year-round ice activities including figure skating, summer training and winter season practices and games. Kiser provides expert damage restoration and remodeling services throughout the Twin Cities metro area. They have made advocating on behalf of homeowners and property managers a priority for a quick bounce back following unfortunate damage due to fire, water, or storms. Kiser Construction chose to recreate their branding into an arena logo with the traditional Elk River Elks red and black color scheme to highlight the local athletes while demonstrating their support for our community.
Located in our retail space, near the Field House, is iBackCheck. They are a sport facility clinic providing physical therapy, massage therapy, and chiropractic services.
Our Senior Activity Center is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. With an annual membership, seniors gain access to billiards, puzzles, cards, group classes, special events, a monthly newsletter, and so much more! Special discounts are available for Elk River residents, but non-residents are welcome to use our facility. Senior Activity Center members can also rent out the Senior Center for their own events and parties. Click here to become a member.
