Update: January 3, 2019 Good news, everyone! Handke Pit will reopen tomorrow (Saturday, January 4) for your outdoor skating enjoyment at 11:00 a.m. While ice conditions won't be perfect, crews will be working this evening to have the surface as safe and usable as possible
Please note, the city's other outdoor skating rinks will remain closed until further notice.

Outdoor Skating Rinks
When winter settles in, lace up your skates or grab a hockey stick to take advantage of our outdoor rinks. The city maintains several outdoor rinks as weather permits. We reserve the right to close rinks whenever we feel it is in the best interest and safety of the participants. For up-to-date information, call the Weather Hotline at 763-635-1160.
Handke Stadium, better known as Handke Pit is located at 1133 4th Street NW, and is the only outdoor rink in the city with a warming house. Warming house hours are as follows:
Monday-Friday 3:00-9:00 p.m.
Weekends and holidays 11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.
